The Art of Living was site-specific installation artwork — a re-imagination of a possible future in which the public institution of the Vancouver Art Gallery is co-opted into the real estate market, a dystopic vision of art’s literal integration into life. The Art of Living playfully points to the precarity of land use, function, and ownership.
